The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for administrative tasks such as maintaining patient records, scheduling, answering phones, checking in patients, updating patient medical records, verifying insurance eligibility and greeting patients.
Responsibilities and Duties
The essential functions of the Front Desk position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Administrative duties such as scheduling patients, answering phones, and maintaining patient charts
- Verify patient insurances and explain details to them
- Taking various patient payments to include copay and deductible
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations pertaining to professional certification, patient confidentiality pursuant to HIPAA, treatment and safety guidelines
- Performs other front and back-office duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- Current BLS with AED certificates (will provide)
- Experience 1+ years in family medicine, urgent care, or occupational medicine preferred
- Google and Microsoft products
- Quick to understand multiple software systems
